TRAIN MACHINE
Memories from the past often resurface in various forms, usually depending on individual circumstances such as places, songs, and objects. Objects, in particular, are excellent keepers of memories. Some items, just by looking at them, can take us back to stories that happened in the past, functioning as a time machine.
TRAIN MACHINE is a work that uses childhood toys as a tool to travel back in time through winding them up. When the wind-up train is set on its tracks and starts moving, the journey through time begins. The work incorporates animated images recorded in various places, aligning with the journeys I took on trains during my childhood.
