NORA Prachunrong
This artwork dissects Nora performance into kinetic art through visual-light and shadow-presentation. The artwork is shaped like a type of traditional Thai casket box for keeping relics and souvenirs. The casket box is usually small and has an urn-like shape.
Nora is a valuable and alluring local wisdom, as well as being an untouchable form of art, which is able to be understood through experience. Hence why the artwork is designed to be presented this way, intended to keep stories and spirits of Nora for later generations and foreigners to discover.
The name "Prachunrong" is a Thai word for Nora competition. However, in this interpretation, the word conveys Thai cultural heritage's enthusiasm about going international.
